Birth Story Photography
Trust me, youβre going to want to remember this.
βIt was truly a beautiful experience working with Madison. She made the perfect edition to our birth team and really went above and beyond photographing our very long home birth! I felt so comfortable with her in my birth space and feel so blessed by the art she captured of my growing family. I can not recommend enough!β

βHer images are irreplaceable, and we wouldnβt even be able to look back on a good portion of our birth process without them. Our overall experience with Madison was more valuable then words can ever express. We highly recommend Madison Swann to support you and capture your birth experienceβ¦β

Why birth photography?
Birth Photography is right for you if:
You believe that birth is beautiful and deserves to be documented, celebrated, and remembered.
You want to connect with your partner during the experience and not have to worry about taking photos along the way
You understand that the birth of this baby is only going to happen once, and you want to preserve the memories for a lifetime
You value real, raw, documentary-style photography
You want to have photos to look back on in order to help you remember and process your birth story

How it works
-
Consultation + Booking
We will meet (virtually) for a 30 minute consultation to see if we are a good fit to work together. We discuss my role in your birth space and what you envision for your birth gallery. I want to curate your gallery into something that you love looking back at for the rest of your life. These memories really are once in a lifetime. They deserve to be documented.
Once you are ready to move forward, you will sign the contract and pay your deposit via the online portal!

Prenatal Meeting / The On-Call Period
Right around 37 weeks I like to meet with you to go over expectations for when to call me, what images you would and would not like me to capture, any questions you have about the process, etc.
I consider myself fully on-call for your birth from 37 weeks on. This means that I will stay within 2 hours of your birth location and will be reachable by phone 24/7.

Your Birthing Day
When youβre in labor, let me know! We will continue to check in with each other decide on a time and location for me to come meet you. For photography clients, I like to arrive around active labor. This means that I will most likely meet you at your planned birth place.
Throughout your labor, I will document your journey with powerful, raw, and emotive photographs. I usually stay with you 1-2 hours after your baby is born. I document the golden hour, skin to skin, and the newborn exam :)
If you would like more in-depth prenatal and birth support, I would love to chat with you about bundling photography and doula services!

Delivering Your Images
I deliver a sneak peek of your gallery, usually 4-5 images, within 72 hours of your birth. The final edits of your gallery will be delivered to you within 3 weeks!
I would be happy to meet with you virtually postpartum to review your birth story and go over the images if youβd like :)
